The 2016 Point In Time count was conducted on January 27, 2016 in coordination with Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. The annual count is conducted consistent with the guidelines from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and covers people who meet the current HUD definition of homeless; those who are in shelters, in transitional housing programs, or unsheltered and living in a place not meant for habitation. Conducting the Point In Time requires extensive efforts by a wide range of community partners, involving dozens of staff and volunteers from public and private nonprofit organizations that work with people experiencing homelessness in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties.
We at ECOH extend our gratitude to all the volunteers and organizations who assisted us in gathering this data. We couldn’t have done it without you!
